Steve's Famous Diner: Unforgettable Comfort Food in Daytona Beach

Google famous for the area so had to stop in on my last morning in the Daytona area. Always in search of good B&G, I activated the carb sampler series. They make their own sourdough, so that means French toast in the next plate over from the B&G. French toast ranks really high here, gravy isn't homeade but they dress it up nicely and the biscuits were top notch. Clare was a great help navigating my first visit, and as a first timer and google reviewer she set me up with a sourdough loaf to go ;) The neat part about an annual trip to an area is locking down your go-to spots. Steve's is on the breakfast list and not too far from my February dirt track hideout.

Steve's Diner is a classic. Great lunch specials and delicious breakfast all day! Love the old-timey decor and atmosphere. Feels like you've gone back in time.

truly a long time gem of diners. the chicken fried steak was amazing. the bread and biscuits were fresh made. co-workers stuffed cabbage was seriously good (he practically licked the plate clean). Crystal was great and no lack of filled drinks and consistently checking on us. at the top of my list for places to savor a hearty meal.

SO GOOD! They have the best meatloaf, fruit, and mac and cheese ever! first time i ordered it and i WILL be coming back! waiter “Alisha” was so nice too!!!

We stopped here for breakfast after hitting the gym. Steve’s is conveniently located right across the street from Planet Fitness to get some protein after a workout. I had pork chops and eggs with potatoes and a biscuit. I added a side of bacon. The food was very tasty, and our server was excellent!

Serves was nice and food was amazing! The soup and homemade bread was spot on! The country fried steak was perfect and not soft, the breading had a perfect crunch. The cowboy burger was delicious! Definitely haven’t had that good of a home cooked meal from a restaurant in a long time! Food was delicious

Our waitress was Heidi and she was fantastic! She kept up with us, she was knowledgeable of the menu, she was kind, polite, and super friendly. Then there was the food. The homemade bread is very good. Would be nice if it was served warm! Lobster bisque was “meh” (but i ate it anyway LOL) and i had no idea the meatloaf dinner was going to be so huge! It was delicious - beans were canned so i will try the coleslaw next time (dad had it and said it was really good). Potatoes and gravy were awesome too. For $13.99 this meal was a deal! The coconut cream pie was fabulous. A large slice with a generous amount of filling. Between Heidi, the food, and dessert i cant wait to go back and try more!

I was visiting the area from out of state. I had to kill a few hours of time and wanted a late breakfast (most local breakfast/brunch places were already closed for the day). After finding this place online, I decided to give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was very welcoming and the establishment was cozy and clean. My waitress Cynthia, was on top of it with excellent hospitality & did so with a friendly smile. She checked frequently to see if I needed anything and made sure my beverage was always topped off. The food was great! My scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly (not overcooked), the homemade bread that was served complimentary was delicious, the waffle was crispy and flavorful and the bacon was great. Aside from serving breakfast all day, they also have a wide variety of lunch and comforting dinner foods as well as homemade pies. Definitely give this place a try!
